Can I wire recessed lights to a fan and light control switch?

Hi I am installing a ceiling fan with (no lights) and recessed lights in my ceiling. I would like to know if I install a fan and light control switch to control my fan can I use the light wiring of the control to turn on and off my recessed lights? Thanks in advance.

Installing a fan/light switch infers that you have a three wire cable up to the fan. You would use one wire for the fan and the other for the lights.

In order to use a fan/light control..... you need to make sure that the rating of the light dimmer is not exceeded by the load of the lights.
