Need guidance on wiring exhaust fan light combo

hi.

i just pulled out the old exhaust fan/light combo in our bath. we have two wall switches, one for the light and one for the fan.

i just need a little help wiring this. im never 100% sure.

In you photo it looks like the label for "power" is on the white wire. Is that correct? I expect to see it on the black wire but in your photo it appears it might be on the white.

Sorry about that. There is a black and white with a sticker that says power wrapped around both of them. There is a red and white with a sticker that says light around both of them.

my interpretation is:

1 green from the fan goes to the bare live wire.
1 red from the fan goes to red in the live wire
1 black from the fan goes to black in the live wire
2 whites fro the the fan/light go to the white in the live wire

Both switches are working so I assume I got it right. Please let me know if you see something wrong so I don’t burn my house down.

horrible experience being up in the attic. Totally itchy now. Plus it was hot as hell. Thanks

Yes.... you've got it correct. When you discuss multiple wires in one sheath you are discussing a cable.

Thank you very much. One more of those to go in the master bath, then I need to figure out how to add another switch in the kids' bath for the fan and the light.
