Fan Always On

I'm installing a new fan and light fixture in a spot where previously only a light existed. The room has two wall switches. Neither of which control any outlets. After wiring the fan and switching the breaker back on, the fan began to spin. However, neither of the wall switches will turn the fan off. I have not hooked up the light yet to test that. Here's my setup:
From the ceiling: Black, Red, White, Ground
From the fan/light: Black, Blue, White, Green

I currently have the following matched up:
Black-Black
Red-Blue
White-White
Ground-Green

Everything in the switches box looks pretty good. I'm not sure where to go from here. Thanks for any suggestions.

So i googled some wiring diagrams. All the ones I saw with two switches show the light switch having a red and black wire attached while the fan switch has black and black wires. My two wall switches both have a black and a red wire attached. That seems problematic?

Hi, which switch controlled the old fixture, try connecting the fan to those, otherwise post some pics of the conductors in the ceiling box as well as the switch box so we can see what you are working with.

Welcome to the forums.

Do you just have 1) three wire cable at the light/fan location ?
If you only have one cable then you may need to change wiring at the switches. The second switch may not have anything to do with the fan.

Pictures of the switch wiring with the switches pulled out but not disconnected would be helpful.
