Old Recessed Porch/Soffit Light

I have a 50 year old recessed porch light above my entryway in the soffit. I think it might be 10x10 or 12x12 and has a single socket for up to 150 watts.

I was wondering if those are easy to replace? Are those standard sizes? Do new ones have sliding brackets/legs like a can lights to mount between 2 framing members from below or do I have to get into the soffit from the attic?

Other than a little rust, it works and I would like to leave it but I am concerned because of the age of the unit.

I dont have a photo but your response tells me these are not standard and I may have a tough time finding something that just drops in.
