For this purpose, I ordered two wireless switches and a wireless switch for the lamp. I programmed it in the kitchen and put it in the bedroom in the designated place. The problem was that it refused to work, I hung up on him and I hooked up in the kitchen again and it worked beautifully. I checked it again with the tester, as soon as it was touched with the tester on the positive wire and the tester was on, the appliance worked. What could be the problem?

Hi, recently removed our old range hood during our kitchen remodel. It was hard wired. After setting it on the ground I noticed the romex coming from the wall had a red wire and it was exposed and not connected to anything on the old hood. I have capped it but my question is; my new range hood has a plug as standard, when it comes to hardwiring it to the circuit, where does the red wire go? Can it just stay capped and out of the way?There is no switch that i know of that controls this circuit
