Trying to install a ceiling light fixture...
Hey, so I'm an inexperienced DIYer who is able to do odd little jobs around the house, but nothing major. I've installed ceiling lights before but haven't encountered this problem before. I don't want to attempt it and blow the fuse or worse. The problem is that there is one set of black and white wires coming out of the ceiling where the previous light was. The light fixture we have has two sets of black and white wires coming out of it. Is it as simple as hooking them both up to the one ceiling wire? Or would that spell disaster? I've attached a couple of pics to make it more clear. Thanks!
