Lights popping noise??

our electrician canít figure it out - nor can he replicate it. When the lights are turned on they often make a pop pop pop noise as the light up. They are LEDs in recessed cans in the kitchen- not a dimmer switch. Once the lights have been on for a while the noise is not replicated.
Is this common with LEDs? (11w - 110v) lights?

Any insight would be helpful. I certainly donít want to create a dangerous situation for my mother.
Thank you
Bill

Welcome to the forums.

No.... that is not a common noise. They shouldn't be making any noise at all.
Do they light normally or flicker ?

Are they a name brand or off brand made in China? I would try powering them up on a bench to see if sparks are internal to the bomb or on the outside of the can. I would also buy an other brand and see if you get the same problem.

I will check the brand- they not flicker but the noise is odd. Hopefully itís just an easy swap of the bulb
