trying to exchange dead halogen pot to new led

My existing halogen pot (in ceiling in insulated box behinf drywall) is not working and i want to replace with an LED pot. I see 2 white wires to the socket of the Halogen, The LED has a black box with three wires, black, white, and yellow/green with a plastic connector on the end of each wire. Can i connect the two white wires one each to the black and white of the LED, and what to do with the yellow/green (i guess this is ground). I have pics but can't see how to attach.

What voltage is your old halogen? Some are 120 VAC while others have a transformer so the wires to the bulb are 12 volts.

Sometimes you need to pull down the can/insert to make the conversion.
We can help you better after we see a picture or two....... How-to-insert-pictures

At least in the US there are screw in LED kits. Remove the halogen bulb and screw in the LED. Push the trim up into the housing.
