Porcelain light shade adaptation

I would like to hang a vintage gooseneck light with a porcelain shade outside of my barn. They are hard to find complete but I find plenty of decent shades. I was wondering if anyone had ever used a shade like that and made their own mounting? The shades generally have large openings on top in the 1-1/2" - 2" diameter range. Some of them almost look like they are threaded. I don't know if there is someplace that might sell various light sockets for stuff like that that I could use. I think I could come up with a bent pipe and mounting flange of some sort. Any ideas or experience with these shades?

Try these folks:

https://www.barnlight.com

I have not personally used them, but they do seem to have a lot of stuff.
