Pull chain socket lighting issues
Just rented a house and I have a flush mount pull chain light socket in my attic. The chain is missing and the light stays "on". They had been tightening the bulb to turn the light on and then loosening it to turn it off. How dangerous is this? I know a little about diy wiring, but not a great deal.

Welcome to the forums!
A keyless light with a chain is only about $4 and easy to change out BUT being a rental you aren't legally allowed to work on it. Have you discussed it with the landlord?
Just remembered, they sell a light/plug with chain that screws in like a bulb and then you screw a bulb into it - that would be a no fuss fix. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Project-Sou...-Chain/3775055
