How to remove a 4-way switch to convert it into a 3-way

I have a 4 way switch center switch being a four way the other 2 switches being three ways I want to eliminate the center switch wcompletely *4way* but able to still use the other two switches as a 3-way switch.... the four way switch has two blacks and Two Reds the reason I'm doing this is because I'm trying to place a smart switch into one of the 3-way switches and it won't work with the center 4 way switch .... I replace some other 3-way switches with the smart switches and they were perfectly fine unless there is a way to use the smart switch with the 4-way configuration I already tried replacing one of the 3-way switches in the four-way configuration but it wouldn't work

Basically you bypass it. In your case connect black to black and red to red. Install a blank cover plate.

Connect black to black and red to red and put a blank cover on it. The whites should already be connected if the blacks and reds were on the switch.

I don't see the issue with the 4-way being a problem. Hard wiring around that switch is exactly the same as leaving the switch in one position. What am I missing?

What kind of lamps (Bulbs) are these, and where can I buy them?

Yesterday my Aunt gave me a Rite Lite Low Voltage Electric Menorah and unfortunately it is missing two lamps of the nine lamps (bulbs). All of the ones I have work but I would love to buy a new set (I need nine of them) so they would all look the same and be of the same brightness. I would love to find LED replacements for these if at all possible. The Menorah is powered by a 6VDC @ 500MA wall power supply (Wall-Wort). I had the 7 I had screwed in and I measured 5.45VDC at one of the empty sockets I am attaching some pictures Picture 1 is the whole Menorah Picture 2 is the sockets Picture 3 is the lamps It is the small lamps I need to find the red E10 LED and the AA battery are for a scale to show just how small these lamps are. 3 way switch issue

[left]I am trying to make a 3 way switch work as it should, however on the second switch, we will call it switch b, it needs to be in a certain position for switch a to work. Any ideas what is going wrong here? [/left]
