Chandelier installation

I would like to install a chandelier without having to run new wiring to the middle of the ceiling. I am trying to think of a way to have the electric run from the sconces on the wall using maybe a bigger sconce that would have an outlet on it where I could plug the chandelier in. Please see pic. Any ideas?

A surface raceway like wiremold might be your best option. Would look slightly cleaner than a cord swaging across the ceiling.

Most people would be less than happy with the finished job there if the wiring wasn't in the ceiling.
I'd highly recommend calling an electrician and doing it right.

I'm guessing that this is a basement, is the room next to it unfinished? There are many ways to get wires where you need them without tearing out the ceiling.

This was actually like a den or living room that we made into a dining room on the first floor. Unfortunately I don't really see an easy way to get wires to the middle of the ceiling. There is a finished room next to it.

What is above the room? Is there an attic?
