What is this black plastic piece?

I've been switching my regular light switches for motion sensor switches. When I unscrewed one of the switches this little black piece of plastic fell out. The screw must have been threaded through it. Can anyone tell me what this little piece does and what it's called? See red arrow in picture. Thanks.

It's a push washer that goes behind the switch and onto the screws that fasten the switch to the box.

Paper spacer that holds the mounting screw to the switch so it doesn't get lost.

There will be no issues. They just keep the screw from getting lost when the device is not attached to the box.
