Problem connecting my recessed lights
I am trying to connect a set of 8 recessed lights using a 14/2 cable connecting to a 14/3 cable in the attic which is coming from a switch for an outlet and using a dimmer as a switch. What will be the best way to make all these connections?

Welcome to the forums.
I moved you to your own thread as where you posted had nothing in common with your project.
We need more information. We understand the 14-2 between the lights.
I'm guessing you'll be setting a junction box in that attic ?
The 14-3 will be between the switch box and the attic junction box ?
Does that switch currently control the receptacles ?
If that switch currently controls the receptacles then the connections would need to be changed so that the receptacles would be always live and your newly installed dimmer would control the new lights.
We'd need to see the wiring at the switch and at the receptacle. Pictures are very helpful.
