Size: 56.8 KBI am replacing the old recessed ceiling lights with new LED's. Have done this before but our new home has lights that won't come out. I can't find the spring clips or anything else holding them in place. Here are two photos:

How do I remove these so that I can install new LED halo lights? Many thanks.

Not sure how to upload photos. If no photos appear, I would appreciate a tutorial. This is my first post.

Welcome to the forums.

Pictures look good.

Those look like Lightolier recessed fixtures. They don't have any visible clips. There should be three clips in the back holding the can up by tension. It looks like you have the socket unclipped. You can push it out of the way and use that hole to pull down on the can. Be careful..... the metal reflector can be sharp.

Sometimes those cans/trims get painted in place and the paint forms a bond holding them in. Take a sharp razor knife and run it between the ceiling and the can to break the paint seal.
