replaced fan|light combo with a light, and light won't turn off complete?

I just removed an old fan and light combo in the bedroom and replaced it with a celling light, and I am having issue.

On the wall outlet side, there are two black wires, one is hot, and was connected to the power wire on the old switch, one is not, and was connected to the fan wire on the old switch. Also there is ground, goes to ground wire on the old switch.

There is also a bundle of neutral wires capped together and were not being used.

Now I am using a new Lutron switch and connect the two black and ground wires, when i turn on the switch, light turns on, but when I turn off the switch, light bulb gets much dimmer but is not completely turned off.

Should I also connect the neutral?

Smart switch or lighted switch? If so they are passing a small current through the light.

The lurton switch is a smart wifi dimmer switch.

I have replaced it with a kasa wifi switch, the Kasa switch has two black wires, on ground wire, and also a neutral wire, which I added to the capped neutral bundle, now the light works okay.
