How to open jammed Mason jar light fixtures?
A previous tenant made a DIY Mason jar light (multiple fixtures) and some of the bulbs have gone. But the jars are stuck closed - how can I open them to change the bulbs?

Or just use a pair of these rubber gloves.
Use one hand to hold the lid firmly and one hand to turn the jar with even pressure.
And also, why do you allow any tenants to make any changes or additions to the electrical system? Renters should not be touching anything electrical in the property they rent from you. Especially "make-shift" fixtures such as these. They are not UL rated.

Thanks for the reply, AFJES. I'm also a tenant! It was the person living in the apartment before me. I think they may have glued the jars closed (...?) but I will try your suggestion!
