Welcome to the forums.

Why not re-use the same fixture by updating with LED tubes ?

Fixture is damaged because plastic piece for bulb pins broke off one bulb socket. Since old decided to replace for do not know if ballast etc is still good.

Just as an example.......
If you buy the replacement LED T-8 tubes from the Depot where the ballast is removed........ the tubes come with new sockets. These LED tubes run approx $9 each. Definitely money well spent.

I just did a similar kitchen fixture at home that used four tubes and two ballasts. I removed the ballasts and wired the sockets directly, Took me all of a half hour and the results are awesome.

Thanks for the info. Actually I decided I did not want to do it myself but really wanted to replace the fixture so I called an electrician, then went to Home Depot and got a Hampton Bay I believe, 4 LED Puff type fixture of same size and shape as the old. I did not want to use the old in case it had other issues besides bulbs and the broken pin plastic piece.. So now I have my problem solved for I knew nothing about modern fixtures and also I found this forum,,,,,,,, I am satisfied.
