Retrofitting entire house can lights with LEDís

I am about to ďupgradeĒ my entire houseís can lights with LED retrofits.
I would like something good quality. My recent experience with LEDís is that they are not nearly as reliable as claimed on the box! Many lasting a fraction of what incandescent bulbs had last me.

I read about T24 certification etc.

What minimum standards should I look for?

Any opinions on what is mist popular in new homes tgese days as far ad aesthetics?

Thanks for your input!

I just bought the multi packs at Costco when they included the government rebate and got an extra box to keep on hand as spares. That way when one does eventually die I have replacements that look exactly the same.

We switched over about 5 years ago and purchased a name brand with 10 yr warranty.

To date we have had around 4 out of 40 bulbs die early and the manufacturer properly replaced.

Your always going to get some of the outliers but quality today is much better!

We still use a combo of LED, CFL, and incandescent. Some locations like closets just do not warrant the cost of conversion due to very short use!
