Sparks flying & loud popping sound from ceiling fan
I pulled the chain to turn on my ceiling fan and sparks flew. It made a loud popping sound and I got a little buzz feeling on my fingers from the chain. I saw one of the light bulbs blew out but they didn't. The ceiling fan started and then it just stopped. It went slow and it stopped it didn't go all the way around. I checked the circuit and nothing tripped. I just don't know what to do. I don't know to go to bed and sleep. Is this thing going to blow up over my head. I don't know what circuit breaker it is. Stephen turn it off

When the bulb looked blue was it on abnormally bright or was it off?

Just some questions:
Shouldn't there be a wire attached to the green grounding screw?
It looks like the person didn't actually attach the mounting plate to the junction box and just threw some screws on the outside in the drywall which is why the fixture fell off. This is also why you don't see the plate in the bottom two pictures as it's still attached to the fixture.
Just how bad is this and should I check the other vanity fixture to see if it has the same issues?
