Bathroom exhaust fan location

Installing an exhaust fan in my bathroom. Bathroom is 93 inches in length by 80 inches wide. Should the fan be mounted directly above the shower, or in the center of bathroom for maximum efficiency? Any input appreciated!

In a room of that size location is not critical, the volume of air displaced will pull from the entire room!

Best is over the shower.
You need a minimum 8 foot ceiling there.
Close to the shower but centered between the side wall also functions well and looks good.

But as Marq1 said it is a small room so anywhere should be OK.
Most important is to seal it properly so moist air does not enter your attic.

My bath exhaust fan is slightly undersized for the size of my bath rm but since it's located above the shower it works well. My bath rm only has a 7' ceiling although the fan/light is made for a wet location.

If you mount the fan within the footprint of the tub/shower, the fan must be on a GFI protected circuit.
