have a solid ground in a non metal box for ceiling fan
Where does this solid ground connect if the box is not metal? Looks like there is a screw for it in the box but not sure.

Welcome to the forums.
The solid ground wire remains unused in the box until it's needed.
When you connect a ceiling fan or ceiling light..... it will have a ground wire that gets attached to that ground wire.
