Can I hook up lights and plugs from an existing 220v wire box

I had a deck wired and it has 220v and I build a shed in the back I want to add a 3 light switch 3 lights and 8 plugs Can I branch off the 220v and use 12/2 or 14/2 to wire my shed up of is there a better way to do this anything helps trying to do it my self.

Was there a hot tub on the deck? You can only use the 240 volts if there is a neutral available so you can get 120 volts to run lights and receptacles. Post a picture of what you have on your deck with the cover off so we can see the wires.
