Hi,
I got video led from ebay but it arrived not fully assembled.
It turned out that its semi-functional but very dim.
I was wondering if its because a part isn't soldered on properly or some minor defect (apart from not being fully built and battery bay missing parts, but it works via usb so its not too bad). I might as well try to fix it.
I am attaching pictures of front and back of the circuit board and would appreciate any guidance
Thanks

Welcome to the forums.
In my opinion..... it looks like too many LED's to be powered solely via USB. I see what looks like a place for a battery to be connected in the lower left of the board. That would make sense. A battery operated light and recharge via USB.
Other than that.... nothing visibly missing.
Can you post a link to what you received ?

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
That makes a lot of sense. Sadly that's the part with the most of damage.
Do you think I could use a pen tip or something like that to replace the missing prong for the battery?
Here is the link to the light:

Thanks

You will have to make a connector.
Could use a bolt of the correct length and size.
At the one end attach a solder lug as I doubt you will be able to solder to the bolt.
Then get an appropriate spring then a nut and probably a washer.
You may also have to grind off the treads where you do not need them so it moves back and forth.

I did apply for a refund but usually, via ebay they don't ask you to send it back to China. It's kind of a waste of plastic just to throw it away so I figured I might as well try top fix it.

With a little creative flair you could fix that.
Input power: DC 5-8.2V 2A input,5V 2A battery input,compatible with NP-FM,NP-F series battery.
It looks like it will run directly off of the USB port but supply needs to be at least 2A or larger. I can't tell for sure as there isn't much technical info on that light.
