Buzzing LED Fixture
I recently installed a new LED light fixture at the top of our stairwell. The light was extremely bright, so I added a 3-way dimmer switch. The dimmed light is wonderful, but now the light is buzzing. The buzzing sound is independent of the level of dimming.
Any idea if this is A) a fixture installation issue, B) a switch/dimmer installation issue, or C) a defective switch/dimmer/fixture?

Check the fixture info.
Not all fixtures are dimmable and unless it says dimmable odds are very high that it is not.
Also some fixtures are only dimmable with specific dimmers.

The fixture is dimmable. I did not notice any dimmer specifics provided by the fixture manufacturer.

I have never had a problem with buzzing but I think that was just blind luck.
I do think that dimmable spec is more for flickering than buzzing.
I do not know if this fellows fix will work but his logic seems reasonable to me.

ELV dimmers are good but they are pricey. Nearly double what most dimmers cost.
I've always used the Lutron Maestro MA/CL dimmers and have never had any buzzing problems.

The light with the issue is a Commercial Electric Model 1003 334 179. I did not see any recommended dimmers listed on the box or within the included literature.
The dimmer switch I attempted to use is a Lutron Toggler CL.
