How to use GE ConstantColor™ CMH G12?

I have a GE ConstantColor™ CMH G12 lamp. I don't think my home has a socket for it. What is the easiest way to use it?

You need a proper fixture with the proper ballast to drive that lamp. You can't just connect it to line voltage.

Thank you. Can I buy the fixture from stores such as Home Depot? I did a lot of search before posting this question. I searched again a moment ago. I am unable to find anything that I can plug to an outlet to hold this lamp.

Hi, I would consider not using that lamp unless you have the proper fixture, it must be an enclosed fixture also.

That is a fairly dedicated type bulb...... ceramic metal halide lamp.
It requires a ballast, starting capacitor, ceramic socket and an enclosed fixture.

It would probably more cost effective to purchase a new fixture with the lamp and keep that for a spare.
