on/off switch

on/off switch

just bought a 4ft. led shop light.(3 wire) can you wire in a on and off switch like you use for a two-wire table lamp, if so is there a certain type?

Welcome to the forums.

Since it's most likely hanging from the ceiling..... how about a pull chain switch in the light ?

Assuming the LED light requires 120 vac to operate, you can use a regular on/off switch rated at least 120 vac. The switch should control the 120 vac hot wire.

No problem. What type of switch did you have in mind ?
Something on the wall, in the cord, attached directly to the light ?

Switch

I'm going to use an inline switch
,I think I can handle it ok
