Add an outlet off of light wiring?

We have 2 lights that frame a fireplace. They turn off/on with a light switch.
I would like to disable the switch control (but it's not crucial) AND add an outlet in the middle of the 2 lights.
The outlet would be used to plug in a wall mounted TV and possibly a sound bar which is why we'd like them off the switch control.
Help, please!

Welcome to the forums.

The typical wiring would be power to the switch..... then to one of the lights.... and then to the other light.
You should turn power off and confirm what you have in each receptacle box and the switchbox.
Just look.... don't disconnect anything yet.

In order to install a receptacle between the two lights.... you'll most likely need to run the cable to one of the lights. If my guess is correct..... you'll find a single cable in one box and two cables in the other box. Easiest to run to the single cable box.
