Bought some super bright LED lights for the garage. They come with sockets to wire into the existing location then I just screw these LEDs into this socket like a light bulb. These sockets only have 2 small metal connectors. (PIC ATTACHED) The old LED lights that were up there have a copper ground, black and white wire. Not exactly sure what to do with the ground wire. There is one switch for the 5 garage lights. I took off the old light. Removed the old ground wire from the old led. There were still 2 copper wires connected in the box. I connected the black wire and white wire to the connectors you see in the picture. The adapter is plastic by the way and not ceramic. When I turn on the lights the circuit shuts down each time after the LED light comes on for 1/2 second. Any ideas

Hello, I looked through a lot of posts, but couldn't find anything resembling my problem. I got a used fan, which per the sticker on the housing says "Airflow A Divison Casablanca Fan Company", "La Costa", Model #1250-72". There is very little information about it online and Casablanca customer service does not know anything about it. It doesn't have lights, no pull chain, but a receiver unit at the bottom of the fan. The model of that is Y7063-01 and I also cannot find anything about it online. The unit has 5 switches and the original remote (which I don't have) was CHQ8BT7053T. Apparently this model comes with 4 or 5 switches and the latter one is impossible to find. The receiver is connected to the fan with a 9 pin connector and all pins are used except for two of them: There are the thicker black, white and blue, but then also thinner yellow, red, pink and grey ones. When the fan is hooked up, nothing happens and so my question is - is it possible to bypass the receiver? For that I would need to know what the four thinner cables do. Anybody have any idea?
