indicator switch flickers with LED tubes
I have an old 4' fluorescent fixture in the laundry room and decided to go with LED tubes when it started flickering. I ripped out the ballast and wired direct to the tombstones and the new tubes work fine. The problem is the wall switch. It has a light that comes on when it's in the OFF position so you can find it in the dark. It worked fine with the ballast and old tubes in there, but now that I've got the LED tubes in, the switch indicator light flickers when the fixture is turned off. I'm wondering if it means there's a problem with the LED tubes. I probably wouldn't give it much thought except that the LED tubes came with SO many warnings about so many things. I contacted the tube manufacturer and they were no help at all.
Anybody have any clue why the indicator light is flickering?
Thanks

The light in that switch is in series with the lamp load. Since you've converted to LED lights.... the load has diminished substantially. The light flickering is completely normal and is not indicative of a problem.
