[color=#1a1917]I've purchased an ebmpapst fan, model W3G250-HK19-11, ([/color][url=http://www.farnell.com/datasheets/2015263.pdf]click here for data sheet[/url][color=#1a1917]).[/color] [color=#1a1917]The problem: it will not turn on when I wire it up and give it power. An acquaintance of mine, also a retired electrician of 30+ years, came over and is also stumped. He suggested I post here in case we're missing something.[/color] [color=#1a1917]To test the fan, we've used 12 gauge wire, connected directly to 8 gauge wire (black/white/grd) coming from the panel, based on the diagram in the spec sheet. It should be turning on, but we're getting nothing.[/color] [color=#1a1917]I tested another smaller 240v fan in the same manner, and that one works fine...... thus I'm worried this fan is simply broken. Normally that wouldn't be a big deal, but I purchased it a long time ago and is no longer under warranty.[/color] [color=#1a1917]Are we missing something?[/color] [i]12 gauge wire on the left, connected to the fan terminals [/i]

We just bought an older home that has a problem with the garage light. The garage has 2 illuminated light switches, A and B. Switch A works no matter what position Switch B is, but Switch B only works when Switch A is in the On position. They both appear to be two-way switches, and are connected with 3 red, black, and white wires (there are no unused wires), in the same positions for both. Can I reconfigure the wiring? Do I need to get new switches? If so, how would I configure their wiring? Thank you!
