Hello all,
I came across this thread earlier: https://www.doityourself.com/forum/lighting-light-fixtures-ceiling-exhaust-fans/584963-changing-52-inch-fan-blade-42-inches.html
I am curious about the results. Long story short, I have a Honeywell Bonterra 52" ceiling fan, 50690-01, in my living room, and we want one to match in the kitchen. Maximum blade span for kitchen is 44", and I cannot find anything that resembles this particular fan anywhere, be it fans, or add on light kits.
I would like to purchase another, and shorten the blades. I am unsure if it will cause any balancing issues, or possibly motor issues.
Anyone have any advice?
1 GFCI outlet and 1 Double switch. 1st switch powers exhaust fan, 2nd switch powers exhaust light and vanity light. This was wired so both lights would come on with one switch, and the fan with the other, but the fan would only run if the lights were on. I've tried to rewire so the fan runs independent of the lights, but now the GFCI trips. What did I miss? This is my current setup....
