Ceiling Fan for steep angled ceiling

What are the limits on how steep the ceiling slope can be for a ceiling fan? I know i can get a longer bar so that it clears the ceiling. But ive always had trouble with where the canopy meets the ceiling. Too harsh of an angle. Is there a certain type of fan or part I should look for?

Sounds like you might want a sloped ceiling adapter.

If you look at the boxes of the fans you are looking at it should say if it will work for a sloped ceiling or not.

I made a small "box" that provides a level mounting surface for the ceiling fan in my house that's on a steeply sloped ceiling. It's just a little bigger than the electrical box and only about 1/4" of the box is visible beyond the edges of the fan's base escutcheon ring. This allows the use of standard fans without the need for an adapter.
