Wiring a 3 way switch
I have a standard light switch at the corner of a shed and would like to change the wiring so I can turn on the lights from another corner of the shed. Do I need two or three wires for this new switch location and what is the minimum size wire?

Hi, a 3 wire ,wire size will depend on the over current protection for the circuit, 15 amps #14. 20 Amps #12.

I'm doing some decorating and came to change my double light switch to a single dimmer switch. The left hand switch belonged to some lights under a step which were taken out before we moved in but they are still connected to the switch. I've connected the dimmer switch, taken out the loop wire which connected to both common and taped the wires up for the left hand switch. Turned the electricity and light back on and it doesn't work. Any suggestions where I may have gone wrong?
