Garage light

My garage light quit working my husband changed the wall switch which has 3 switches one for garage one for kitchen light and ceiling fan in kitchen, it still didn't work so he got a new light fixture and installed it, it only has 2 wires plus the ground wire he hooked it up the same way as the old but still not working. Any help please.

Did he take a multi meter and verify there is voltage at either the light or the switch?

If the other switches work.... then you probably have power there.
You eliminated the switch..... assuming it's not a three way circuit with two switches.
Did he use a new bulb in the light fixture ? If not.... check the bulb in a working fixture.

Outside of that.... he'd need a way to check for voltage. Either a basic meter or voltage tester.
