New dimmer switch

I had this dimmer installed last week, when sliding the slider up and down its clicky at times....it doesn’t affect the function though...normal? I was charged a fair bit by a professional to install this so hoping he did it right.<img src="https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.doityourselft.com-vbulletin/2000x1504/f79bb74f_5c4a_4ca9_8887_436c0ba36e31_b44c5420b12ed1af72bdb947407cfb1ea271b70e.jpeg" width="1128" height="1504"/>

What's your question? The clicks? That's the switch. Nothing to do with the install.
Most likely it will smooth out with use

OR
it's the nature of the switch.

What brand is it, Could not quite make out the name.

It’s Lutron. Skylark Contour I believe. I was hoping it’s just the make and nothing I need to call them back to my house about (since it’s a pandemic)

Lutron is a good brand. They don't normally click. I would call the electrician just to make him aware that there may be a problem that could be addressed in the future.

It’s like the little piece of plastic the that slider slides over has some give to it which makes it click sometimes.

It could be a rough spot in the casting. It may just wear or fall off.

I heard back from Lutron and they said a bit of clicking is normal since it’s a captive linear slide - I’m not sure what that means but I guess it’s ok

Sometimes you need to keep it simple and not read too much into it.
