Retro Fit Ceiling Box

Installing a retro fit ceiling box but I have I-Beams. The "feet" are rest (but screwed in tight) on the I beam bottom (pictured), but the box which comes with this kit isn't deep enough when it's resting on the I Beam. It's about an inch recessed into the ceiling. The box it comes with is 1.5 inches deep, which is fine for regular beams, but not an I beam. Any suggestions? Should I screw a separate shallow pan box to the one that comes with the kit? Or is there a better idea? Thanks.

1. Saw the legs off. They are only for setting the depth.
2. Turn the legs up to let the bar lower.
3. Add a block of wood to the joist to make it level with the bottom cord. Install the bar on top of the drywall as designed.

Hi, how thick is that 689 piece? set the legs on the ceiling and put a small block above if necessary.

That looks like a 2x4 on the bottom of that I joist. It doesn't look like typical manufactured I joist.
Move the bar down.
