Wiring a different motor it to Vintage Standing Fan

I am trying to wire a new motor (from a celing fan) in to an old Utilitech standing shop fan. The original appears to be shorted out. Because this motor is obviously configured different than the original (DQ50DC) it does not hook up exactly like the old one. Can this be done and can someone guide me through it? See photos.

Welcome to the forums.

Unfortunately a ceiling fan motor doesn't have the speed or horsepower to run those fan blades.
That motor would not be a good choice for that fan.

OK. Thank you so much! Do you know which motor would do the job and where I might find one?
