I am wiring 2 switches and an outlet into one 3 gang box.
The wires coming in to the box are the Supply power line, one set of lights, another set of lights, and a wire that travels to the next outlet in the room.
All white wires are combined in one splice.
Grounds aren't shown but must be all connected.
The hot in, hot out and three short pieces of black wire called tails are in one splice.
Each tail goes to a device.
I installed a new ceiling fan. Followed instructions to a T. When I turned power back on both the fan and lights work but my wall switches swapped functions. My dimmer now controls the fan and the regular switch controls the lights. It should be the other way around like it was before with previous ceiling fan. How can I fix this????
Hi - I am looking to have two switched lights on each side of a bed that can also be controlled by a common/master switch by the bedroom door entrance. Can I just split the wires from the master switch and run to both of the switched lights of each side of the bed? I know this might have some weird effects which I am fine with but the main goal is to be able to either turn on or off both bedside lights (or change their state) when entering/ leaving the bedroom. Any sight would be appreciated. Thanks
