Hello, Newb here.
I bought a house that was built in 1958, all the wiring in black, white, and plain copper. I have a fan/heater/light in the latrine. it has an old 3 switch. The heater toggle does not work unless you hold it in the right spot. I bought the Baomain triple rocker combo switch to replace it. when I pulled the original switch out all there is, is black, white and stripped copper wire the copper wire is not hooked to anything and there are jumper wires on the old switch. not sure if I'm over thinking this but I got I got online of-course and then got all kinds of cornfused . cab anyone please tell me what I need to hook up where. I just retired and kind of don't want to already check out if you know what I mean. I'd like to enjoy a little of my retirement ha-ha there are 3 different sets of black wire and white wire. only the 2 white seen here are connected back of original plug with jumpers New baomain
So we have a track lighting system in our kitchen on a single pole dimmer that has worked fine for years, although I've noticed the transformer has gotten quite hot at times. Yesterday, I replaced the dimmer with a smart dimmer which worked fine for about 6 hours. I believe the transformer has burnt out because it got hot again and there's an order coming from it. Since the smart dimmer is connected to the name neutral as the transformer, could it be what caused it to burn out? Do I just need to get a dimmer with more wattage?
