Extractor Fan / Wiring

Hello!

Trying to change all extractor fan to a new one. UK based Flat.

Old fan was connected to 4 wires:

2 Red1 black1 yellow-green
New extractor fan has only 3 connections:

L - Permanent Live
N - NeutralLs - Switched live
How should I connect them and what should I do with the 4th wire?

Thank you!

Welcome to the forums.

You should have three connections..... switched hot/live 230v, neutral and ground.

Your old fan may have been two speed. That would explain the fourth wire.
You would need a meter or tester to check and see which of the four wires is high and low.
