Light fixture problems

I took down a couple fixtures to paint. When trying to put them back up I have two lights in a hallway that run off of one switch. One of them works but the other one does not. It’s pretty straight forward wiring matched black up with black and white up with white, but nothing. They both worked fine before I took them down. I even tried a different fixture thinking that maybe I damaged the other one while taking it down but still nothing.

any ideas would be helpful!

Fixture not working

Did you try a good lamp in the non working fixture? It it works, issue solved. If not, recheck all wire connections. If you have a multimeter, check across the non working fixture black and white wires for 120 vac, both ends.
