Question LED light fixture flickering after changing switches

Hi everyone,

I recently changed a 3-way normal switch to a smart one (Kasa HS210). Both are not dimmable. The LED light started flickering after that. The problem remained even after I replaced the old switch back. I have tried tightening all the connections and wire nuts to no avail.

I am wondering what the cause could be and how do I go about fixing it? Thank you for reading!

Video of the flickered light

These are the photos of the switches and the inside of the light:
- Old 3-way switch
- New smart switch
- Light fixture 1, Light fixture 2

Use a multi meter or voltage tester to check the power to the light. Is the power fluctuating, blinking on/off or is the light continuously getting power?

You likely have a loose connection. Check all wire nuts inside the switch boxes.

Thanks all!
@Pilot Dane: From the video you will see it blinked for a bit, went dark briefly then blinked again
@Tolyn Ironhand: I tried that twice, even tested with a new switch but no luck

When you reconnected the wiring did you also clean all the wires with some fine emery cloth etc, or did you just tighten the wire nuts?

It is possible that it is just a fluke and the light is bad or the connections at the fixture box are loose. I would remove the fixture and test it on another circuit.

Update: I found the issue. At the other switch with dimmer, the dimmer was at lowest setting. Raising it to the highest level made the flickering went away. Thank you all!
