Hello! When I moved into this house, there was a new remote controlled ceiling fan... with no remote. I've tried a few times to search the numbers on the thing, but no results. Can anyone tell me what brand this is, or tell me where to look?

The YSC-52 is the model number.
That is called a basic pull chain ceiling fan.
That would mean no remote.
In looking at your excellent pictures..... I see a black, blue and white wire at the ceiling.
That means that fan can be remote controlled.
The remote system for that fan goes right in that location.
You need the complete kit..... receiver and transmitter. There are many choices.
The link I left shows one and it has an install sheet posted which shows you where it goes.
In my basement I have a light switch which powers on one light. In addition I have two separate lights which are controlled by a pull chain and are independent of the light switch. I would like to tie in these light with pull chains to the light switch so when I turn on the light switch all three lights come on/off. The lights with pull chains would be removed so it would just be a light. The basement is unfinished so I have full access to all the electrical runs. I'm wondering if this is an easy solution that I can do myself and if so are there any suggestion how to make this work. If this is a job for an electrician then I can hire one but wanted to see what the community thinks before going down this route. Thanks in advance.
Recently I was cutting a 6" hole for a recessed LED disk. It was through 2 layers of 5/8" drywall, and I used a multi tool--my preferred tool as I don't have the hole saw.
Seems you have to push the blade straight edge (or angle it slightly) while plunging into the ceiling in a circular motion. For me hard to do accurately. I had a few minor glitches outside the circular hole.
Is there a better way with the multi tool on a circular hole? Or was It just more challenging with having 2 drywall layers? My thought was having a blade that had a cutting edge on 2 sides rather than one. But I don't see such a blade online.
