Track Lighting
I have a 12-year track lighting over my bar. several weeks ago, it wouldn't turn on. The switch has a sliding dimmer on the wall switch. So, after a few days, I remembered to look at and touched the transformer reset switch and the lights worked. Several days late I needed to hit the reset button again. The lights did work, and I noticed they would turn on and off several time if the toggle was in the highest position (100%).
the following week, the lights would not turn on even when using the reset button. On night, I left the switch on the lalter the light turned on by themselves I think....Crazy. Another time, I turned on the lights and it took 5 seconds for them to come on from the time I flipped the switch.
Now, the lights will not work at all even with the reset button. Other interesting notes, the transformer has a low buzz, but I have heard this over the years and never gave it a second thought. The bulbs are GU 10 halogen, 120v 50W. This was.is a nice track light from a electrical shop, they shop says this unit is out of production and I don' have any factory literature on the unit. One basic question too, Is it possible to buy a generic transformer for track lighting if it the unit has failed.
