which brand of Outboard motor
Hello All,
May be a controversial question.
Wanted to buy an outboard motor in the 100-130hp range. Most probably it would be a 2 st (stroke) but could be a 4st. So what brand would you recommend over the other.
Was looking into Mercury, Yamaha, Nissan and Honda. Any suggestions?
Thanks ahead of time.

IMHO Get the Honda 4 stroke. Many lakes are banning outright the use of 2 stroke motors.
4 strokes are quieter, get better gas milage and much more envirnomentally friendly.

In My Opinion
Hello: alumtuna
A few additional points worth considering.
Buy the brand which is the most popular in your area and a brand which has an authorized local dealer in your area.
After sales service & parts availability is just as important as the warranty. Another very important factor.
Many aspects to consider prior to the purchase and based upon the selling price of outboards. Which is often equal to and or more than the actual cost of the boat it drives...
