Evinrude o/b 140hp - low power

I have a 1984 Glastron w/ a 140hp 4 stroke outboard Evinrude. I had the carb cleaned at a shop recently. The engine runs pretty good in neutral. Once in gear, the boat will only go about 10 miles per hour. Could this still be a fuel problem? Any suggestions?

Take carb back to the shop that did the "so called" carb cleaning. Not done right. Sounds like fuel starvation.

And or an out of adjustment carb condition. Throttle cables may need adjustment or carb needs adjustment.

Also check fuel delivery to carb. May have a restricted fuel line, fuel filter or weak fuel pump, etc.

Thanks for the suggestion. I decided to take the carb apart and clean it myself. I found 2 small holes that were plugged with goo and not allowing fuel to leave the bowl. What a problem 2 holes can cause. Runs great again. If you want it done right, do it yourself!
