PWC Kawasaki 900 ZXI 96 model

Hello all,
I have recently discovered i have a crack in my exhaust manifold just below where it joins to the pipe.

I am planning to get this welded but my question is whether or not i need to take out the whole engine first ..... or should i just start removing whatever is in the way and leave the engine in??

Thanks in advance
ppil.

No

The exhaust manifold can be removed without taking the engine out of the ski. Once the two exhuast pipe pieces are removed this will allow 'enough' room to remove the manifold.

NB: A universal joint for the ratchet will be useful to get the lower bolts off the manifold. These bolts should not be very tight anyway.
