Hello: saldog6

Pontoon boats can be left in fresh water all year without ill effects under generic conditions. Much depends on how much maintanence one cares to do, the area and water condition. Pontoon boats remain docked in lakes around here all year. Some are used as all year live aboards residences.

Hey it gets cold up there in Old St Louis You want to check the pontoons and make sure they dont have anywater in them. Also the lower unit on the motor. With the snow load on it and the ice around it Dont let it in there if you dont put a deicer by it in the water. I do know Alton and lake of the ozarks. Make your own deicer dont cost much. But sure does pay around the docks and boats there.
