Old boat client is restoring and I need to some info on how it's built

I couldn't even begin to tell you how old this boat is. It has formica countertops with a teak edge, so I would assume, less than about 30 years.

I have been inquired upon to make benches/sofa seats that will not only have the back angled back like a chair, but the backside of it will follow the contour of the boat "Radius". Kinda like a cone shape.

It appears the interior side walls are fiberglass and behind that it looks like strips of 1" thick solid wood.

Is this typically how boats were built back then and also is there a way to find out how far apart they're spaced? Do you think you can use a stud finder through fiberglass?

Thanks!
